International Women’s Day is March 8. Women are celebrated and raised awareness of their rights. It also inspires women to speak up in support equality. It’s observed on March 8th to honor the contribution of women.
American schools and businesses celebrate International Women’s Day. March also is National Women’s History Month.
In many countries women have suffered for a long time from discrimination, but the fight for equality between men and women has been going on for a longer time. According to estimates from the World Economic Forum (WEF) gender equality across the globe is likely to be achieved by 2133. Women are actively involved in politics and business today, and they are pushing for equal pay and access to contraception.
Since the national conversation about women’s rights was sparked through discussions on sexual harassment and equal pay, women have been more involved both in the United States and abroad. But, there are problems with the rights of women in Russia.
